The Thirty Years War - Martyrs Among The Casualties [2002]
This band and The Fall of Troy were my favourite bands back in high school; listened to this for the first time in years, nostalgia everywhere.
The Thirty Years War are basically the precursor to The Fall of Troy having the same line up plus a guitarist. Musically very similar but TTYW are more raw and emotional in my opinion. Plus they were like 16/17 when they recorded this, so with that in mind it's pretty fucking good.

Drum Eyes - Gira Gira [2010]
"A Brighton/London based collective arranged around Shigeru Ishihara (better known as DJ Scotch Egg), E-Da (Ex-Boredoms drummer), and K-Power (Ex-power up!) Drum Eyes combine dueling drums, cornets, keys and game boys to form a devastating live show.
Their debut album dropped in September 2010 amidst feverish anticipation in the wake of member’s reputations and the band’s devastation of audiences countrywide with their insatiable, mind expanding live performances including a set at Supersonic festival in 2009. Drum Eyes are a band who are impossible to pigeonhole in any category other than fantastic (but you can add Kraut, Motorik, Doom, Drone, Psych, Noise and experiMENTAL to the list as well)."
This is delicious. Hopefully seeing them live in a couple of months too.
